An Unforgettable Adventure at La Maison de François, Superb Villa for Luxury Holidays
This summer, we had the privilege of living an extraordinary experience in Marrakech, at the exquisite Maison de François. Allow me to take you on an enchanting journey, where every day was a new adventure to savour.
From the moment we arrived at the Maison de François, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The villa, nestled in the heart of a lush garden, offered us a haven of peace where we immediately felt at home.
Our first excursion took us to the Agafay desert, a breathtaking sight where the golden dunes stretch as far as the eye can see. We had the opportunity to ride a camel, an exhilarating yet serene experience, allowing us to soak up the majesty of this desert landscape.
Early the next morning, we took off in a hot-air balloon, flying over the valleys and desert lands near Marrakech. The snow-capped peaks of the Atlas Mountains at sunrise in winter weren't on show, as we were in summer, but the scenery promised to be wonderfully enchanting. A magical moment, suspended between heaven and earth, that will remain engraved in our memories forever.
Back at the rented villa at around 12 noon, some of us thrill-seekers opted for a quad bike excursion through the winding paths of the surrounding palm grove, which proved to be a thrilling experience. As the breathtaking scenery unfolded before our eyes, we felt the adrenalin of pure adventure.
But there's more to Marrakech than its vast stretches of desert, its palm groves and its views of the Atlas Mountains. The bustling souks of the medina invited us on a sensory journey, where the vivid colours, intoxicating scents and bewitching sounds transported us into a world apart.
In a city where gastronomy is a veritable institution, we had the chance to sample a variety of culinary delights, from small traditional restaurants in the souks to select addresses where Moroccan cuisine is expressed in all its splendour.
An extra day of escape took us to Essaouira, where the waves of the Atlantic Ocean greeted us for an unforgettable surf session at Sidi Kaouki. The salty spray and wind whipping our faces added a dose of adventure to our Moroccan getaway.
We made our way back to Marrakech to meet up with our superb rented villa at sunset with the driver who had been recommended to us.
The next day, back at the Maison de François, we were pampered with massages and treatments by a professional team who had come on site. It was a true interlude of well-being that allowed us to recharge our batteries and fully relax.
Finally, to crown this exceptional experience, a barbecue evening by the villa's superb swimming pool, adorned with Bali stones, was an unforgettable moment of conviviality and sharing. The exquisite flavours, spellbinding music and warm company made for a magical evening under the stars of the Moroccan sky.
